Areas we serve
One Office, in Sorrento Valley
People travel to us from across San Diego County. This page is about how far that actually is. Call (858) 567-4246.
We have one location, and this is it
Strata Outpatient is at 11230 Sorrento Valley Road, Suite 225, San Diego, CA 92121. There is no second site, no satellite office and no plan to pretend otherwise — if you are reading a page about your neighborhood, this is still the building you would be coming to.
That matters because our Intensive Outpatient Program runs three mornings a week. A commute you can live with twice a week is different from one you can live with three times, and it is worth being honest about the distance before you commit to a schedule rather than after.
Sorrento Valley sits where the 5 and the 805 come together, which is why so much of the county is closer to us than it looks on a map.
How far is it
Straight-line distance from our door
Measured from our own coordinates to the middle of each area. Driving distance is longer, and how long it takes depends entirely on when you travel — which is why there are no minute counts on this page.

We work with adults from across San Diego County, including areas not listed here. If you are further out than Carlsbad, the honest conversation to have on the first call is whether three mornings a week is realistic for you — and if it is not, whether individual therapy or medication management would serve you better than a program you cannot reliably reach.
Telehealth
Two of our three services reach the whole state
Medication management and individual therapy are available by telehealth anywhere in California. Our clinicians are licensed here, so where you are in the state does not decide whether you can be seen — which matters most for the people for whom the drive was always going to be the obstacle.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is in person. It is group work three mornings a week, and that is not something we run over video. If the IOP is the right level of care for you but Sorrento Valley is not reachable three times a week, say so on the first call — we would rather help you find a program closer to home than enrol you in one you cannot attend.
Whether telehealth suits what you are dealing with is a clinical question, and part of what the initial assessment is for.
Getting here
Full directions, parking and how to find Suite 225 are on our contact page, along with the map and both sets of directions links.
In short: we are on Sorrento Valley Road, minutes from both the 5 and the 805, with free parking on site. The Coaster's Sorrento Valley station is on the same road, and NCTD runs weekday COASTER Connection shuttles into the surrounding business parks — though those are built around commuter peaks, so check current times at gonctd.com or in the PRONTO app before relying on them for a program that ends at noon.
If you are in crisis, do not wait for an appointment.
Call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day. In San Diego County the Access & Crisis Line on (888) 724-7240 is also staffed around the clock. If there is immediate danger to life, call 911. Strata Outpatient is a scheduled outpatient clinic — not an emergency service, a crisis line, or a 24/7 provider.
